The acrylic we use is easy to clean. We use a 4-layer high-molecular acrylic that is the most durable, chemical resistant acrylic available. It also has the added benefit of Microban, which is the same ingredient that Colgate puts into their toothpaste to kill gingivitis. So, not only is it safe to ingest, but it also kills bacteria on contact between cleanings.
